VIRTUAL CATCHER

The Ultimate Training Tool

For Pitchers

The K Zone is an innovative new training tool for Pitchers of all ages and abilities. The K Zone works as a virtual catcher, accurately measuring and recording the location and velocity for each pitch. It allows coaches and players to set up customized training programs, manage pitch counts and track each player's progress. The obvious use for the K Zone is during training. As a target for the pitcher to consistently focus on, the K Zone is a catcher that only tells the truth and remembers everything you do. Use the science of location to improve your lessons and give objective feedback. Use the feedback to set goals and show improvement.

Bullpen Training Sessions:

Creating your own sessions is as easy as putting the mouse on the zone and clicking the button. A listing of pitches will display. You can then add pitches to the listing if you like. When you've entered all the pitches you want, simply select 'Save Session'. You can go back and edit sessions later, and you can use any session entered for all of your pitchers. The software requests & records every pitch.Once you click 'Begin', the computer walks the pitcher through each pitch entered in the session. The software displays the pitcher's name and session name, then charts all of the information thrown during the session including pitch location and velocity (optional). The software then gives the pitcher a rating based on error distance of the pitch, with a rating of 100 for hitting the requested spot. The rating quickly diminishes as the pitcher's error increases, with a miss of 20+ inches having a rating of 0. When a training session is complete, it is saved in the system and 6 printouts are available. Click here to view or download a sample printout. Page 1 gives a summary, and Page 2 is a pitch listing that shows the pitch sequence entered and the requested location - exactly as it was entered into the training software program. The accuracy and velocity information is then added for each pitch thrown. Page 3 shows the History Plot for the pitches thrown, with darkened circles indicating accuracy. Page 4 is the Bullseye Plot which shows pinpoint accurate pitches - a quick and easy way to see how accurately the pitcher is throwing. Page 5 is a Velocity Graph, and Page 6 is an Accuracy Graph.

Simulated Game Competitions:

Throw against your favorite team and player stats! Our new software allows you to choose the pitches to be thrown, set the number of pitches and/or innings, and play by yourself or against your friends. Run pitching leagues or just make training fun! The software displays the runners on base, count, outs, and score. Before each pitch the Batting Average, Slugging Percentage, and On Base percentages are shown. The requested pitch is displayed, and the catcher sets up in the location for that pitch. After each pitch the Velocity, Error Distance, and Pitch Rating are shown just as in the training program. In addition, the result of the pitch is displayed: ball, strike, foul ball, single, or home run. After hits, runners are shown on base and will advance based on further game play. how game play is determined. The accuracy of each pitch determines the outcome, just as in a real game - mistakes are hit, and hit hard. Hit your spots and get good consequences. Leave the ball over the middle and it's likely to be hit for extra bases. When entering the initial game setup information, you select the percentage each pitch should be thrown. The game will call the pitches to their locations - almost always down and on the corners, and sometimes a high fastball. In Softball mode, the riseball is always requested high, and the pitch selection changes. Multi-player mode. Between each inning, the scoreboard will display the game score, "End of Inning", and what player is up. The display is just like a scoreboard in the stadium, indicating the score by inning and the total runs, hits, and errors allowed. box score reports. Blackbelt Throwing Program:

The BlackBelt Throwing Program is based on the martial arts system of increased levels of difficulty with definable goals and levels of achievement. Athletes are rewarded with T-shirts instead of belts that they can wear with a sense of pride and achievement. As the player moves through the levels, which increase in difficulty, the zone into which they are throwing shrinks. The blackbelt level player must demonstrate a mastery of hitting the glove. Each lesson consists of 10 pitch sessions repeated 3 times for a total of 30 pitches. The picture to the left shows all the zones; during actual play, only the zone for the current level will be visible. Reports are available showing the players that finish a session as a group, and individual reports are
